Donna Barrow-Jones

Donna Barrow-Jones was a 53-year-old therapist from Wigan who was struck by a vehicle on 19 September 2019 and suffered fatal injuries.

The driver, Nezar Abukhrais, a man described in court reporting as being of Asian background, failed to stop at the scene. It was later confirmed that he was not properly licensed or insured to drive in the UK at the time of the collision. He was prosecuted in connection with causing death by driving offences and failing to stop after the incident.

She is remembered by her family, friends and clients as a compassionate and dedicated woman who spent her life helping others. Known for her warmth and professionalism, she made a lasting impact on the people she worked with and those around her.

Her sudden death left those who knew her devastated and was a deeply felt loss to her community.
