Jamie Brown

Jamie Brown was a 17-year-old boy from Halifax who was murdered on 27 October 2018 during a violent confrontation outside a house party in Ovenden, Halifax. A dispute between groups of young people escalated into serious violence, during which Michael Thompson, of African descent, inflicted a fatal stab wound to Jamie. He later died from his injuries despite the best efforts of emergency services.

Jamie was described as a “lovely and gentle” young man, his loss continues to be felt deeply by his loved ones and the wider community.

Rest in peace Jamie. You will not be forgotten.
