Christina Gray

1914 – 1995

Upper Norwood, South-East London

Christina Gray, an 80-year-old woman with osteoporosis (brittle bone disease), was mugged on 18 March 1995 in Lansdowne Place, Upper Norwood, south-east London, by two Black youths who snatched her handbag as she walked home from bingo.

The assault caused her to break her arm and hip, and she later died from the resulting injuries, which were complicated by her condition.

The case remains unsolved.

Rest in peace Christina. You will not be forgotten.
