Kate Beagley was a 32-year-old successful businesswoman and national compliance manager from Surrey whose life was tragically cut short in May 2007. She was a privately educated, well-travelled and optimistic young woman with a degree in sports administration.

She was stabbed 31 times in the face, head and neck by Karl Taylor, a 27-year-old man of African descent who claimed he “just wanted her car”.

This happened while the pair were sitting on a bench overlooking the River Thames on Richmond Hill during their first date on 30 May 2007. He then stripped her body and dumped it in woodland in Oxhey Wood, Hertfordshire.

Her death devastated those closest to her and she continues to be remembered as a much-loved confident and kind-hearted woman whose loss is felt deeply by all who knew her.

Rest in peace Kate. You will not be forgotten.
