Kian Tordoff
2002 – 2021
Bradford, West Yorkshire
Perpetrator
Kian Tordoff was a 19-year-old man from Bradford whose life was tragically cut short in October 2021. Remembered as a much-loved son, brother and friend, Kian had his whole future ahead of him. His death devastated those closest to him and he continues to be remembered with great affection by all who knew him.
Kian was fatally stabbed during an early-morning disturbance in Bradford city centre on 10 October 2021. After an earlier altercation, a group of men returned armed with knives and machetes and launched a revenge attack. Kian suffered multiple stab wounds and died from his injuries. In his final moments, he reportedly asked those with him to tell his mother that he loved her.
His killer, Sheryar Khan, who was 16 at the time of the attack, was convicted of murder and sentenced to detention for life. The Court of Appeal later increased his minimum term from 16 years to 19 years, ruling that the original sentence had been unduly lenient. Khan’s brother, Arbaz Khan and Mohammed Adil Hussain were also convicted of manslaughter for their roles in the attack.
Rest in peace Kian. You will not be forgotten.
