Lance Scott Walker

Lance Scott Walker was a 18-year-old man from east London whose life was tragically taken in August 2016.

He was attacked by Idris Hassan, another 18-year-old care leaver with a history of psychosis, knife-carrying, and violent behaviour who had been placed in the same private-run hostel (Urban Youth Flex) by Ealing Council just 11 days earlier.

Hassan stabbed Lance twice in the back while he was in the staff office. Lance died at the scene from shock and haemorrhage caused by the stab wounds.

Hassan later admitted manslaughter (on the grounds of diminished responsibility) and was sentenced accordingly.

Rest in peace Lance. You will not be forgotten.
