Lynn Savery was just 19 years old when she was strangled by her boyfriend Ashfaq Khan in her own home in Manchester in 2005, only hours after celebrating the first birthday of her baby daughter.
A devoted young mum to one-year-old Mia, Lynn was remembered by her father Keith as a “beautiful person who saw the good points in everyone.
Kind-hearted and optimistic even through hardship, she had stayed in a three-year relationship hoping things would improve despite repeated physical and sexual abuse.
Her body was discovered the next day by her mother and stepfather, with Mia found unharmed nearby.
Lynn’s sudden death left her family and friends utterly devastated, yet her warmth and belief in others continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Rest in peace Lynn. You will not be forgotten.
