Malcolm Anderson was a 54-year-old father of four and electrician from Stechford, Birmingham whose life was tragically cut short in December 2011.

He was a devoted family man who worked hard to provide for his wife Deborah and their children, he is remembered with enormous love and sadness by his family and friends as the kind-hearted husband and father whose sudden loss left an irreplaceable void.

He was driving his Ford Escort on the M6 near Coventry in the early hours when Iqbal Singh, a 39-year-old Indian-born illegal immigrant with no licence or insurance, fell asleep at the wheel of his van. Singh swerved across lanes and ploughed into Malcolm’s car at high speed, causing it to hit a concrete post and overturn. Malcolm suffered a fatal heart attack at the scene; his wife and 13-year-old son Jason were both seriously injured.

Singh was later convicted of causing death by careless driving and jailed for two years.

Rest in peace Malcolm. You will not be forgotten.
