Robert Knox was an 18-year-old British actor who had just completed his role as Marcus Belby in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, when he was stabbed to death outside a bar in Sidcup, Kent, on 24 May 2008.

He was killed while intervening to protect his younger brother Jamie from Karl Bishop, a local man who had armed himself with two kitchen knives after losing an earlier fight.

Knox was stabbed five times and died at the scene. Bishop, who showed no remorse, was convicted of murder (and additional wounding charges) at the Old Bailey in March 2009 and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 20 years before parole eligibility.

Rest in peace Rob. You will not be forgotten.
