Rose Doughty

Rose Doughty was a 72-year-old mother of four and grandmother of eleven from Middlesbrough whose life was tragically cut short in November 2013.

She is deeply mourned by her family and friends and remembered with great love and affection by all who had the honour of knowing her.

She was stabbed and strangled to death by her 41-year-old neighbour Christian Darko, originally from Ghana, at her home on Fosdyke Green in Netherfields, Middlesbrough, on 23 November 2013 after she refused to give him money.

Her death devastated those closest to her and she continues to be remembered as a much-loved woman whose loss is felt deeply by all who knew her.

Rest in peace Rose. You will not be forgotten.
