Shara Millar was a vulnerable woman from Lincolnshire who had struggled with drug addiction.
Tanveer Singh, a Sikh, had been drinking heavily and taking cocaine. He picked Shara up in his van and after she refused his sexual advances, he strangled her.
After killing her, Singh stole money from her purse, stripped her, dumped her body among a pile of rubbish at an industrial estate in Smethwick, and poured AdBlue over her in an attempt to destroy forensic evidence.
She had five children. Her brother, gave a victim impact statement in which he described her as someone who “just wanted to be loved”.
Singh received a life sentence with a minimum of 29 years.
Rest in peace Shara. You will not be forgotten.
