Tracey Cullum
1973 – 2005
Birmingham, West Midlands
Tracey Cullum was a 31-year-old mother from Birmingham whose life was tragically taken following an assault in July 2005.
She is remembered by her family as a loving mother devoted to her son and her death left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She was attacked at a bus stop in Birmingham city centre after challenging a group of teenagers who were behaving aggressively in the queue. During the incident she was punched by one of the youths while waiting with her 12-year-old son. She initially survived the attack but later died after suffering a fatal blood clot linked to the injuries sustained.
The group involved were described as young black males, following early police and witness accounts of the suspects at the scene. At the time of reporting, no definitive convictions were recorded in connection with the attack.
Rest in peace Tracey. You will not be forgotten.
